Only students with a bachelor’s degree from an international institution and outstanding academic credentials are eligible to receive Masters Scholarships, which are essentially full tuition waivers. On average, UNIL awards about 10 scholarships every year. The scholarship will last for the bare minimum required to complete the course of study the recipient has selected. It comes to CHF 1,600 each month from 15 September to 15 July (or 10 months a year) for the whole term of the masters (one and a half years or two years depending on the chosen masters), with the exception in cases of decisive failure after the first year.

It is made clear to applicants that the scholarship money won’t be enough to cover basic expenses in Switzerland. It’s not a complete ride, but it’ll help a lot. Candidates are encouraged to review the information on the reference budget of a UNIL student for further details on this topic. Students who have been awarded a scholarship will not be required to pay the CHF 80.00 registration fee per semester.

About the Scholarship Provider:

The University of Lausanne, situated on the banks of Lake Geneva, is home to approximately 14,300 students and 3,000 researchers. The university is a free and open institution. The institution may trace its roots back to 1537, when a French-speaking Protestant school of theology opened. The institution grew in size and stature over time, adding new faculties until it became a university in 1890. It moved from the historic district of Lausanne to its present-day location in Dorigny in the 1970s. Public transportation may take you from the university to wherever in Lausanne. The Faculty of Biology and Medicine and the Faculty of Geosciences and Environment joined the University of Northern Ireland (UNIL) in 2003, bringing the total number of faculty to seven. International students make up about a fifth of the student body and a third of the faculty. The Cantonal and University Library of Lausanne (BCUL) is housed in buildings that look out over Lake Geneva and has a collection of over two million records.

The university places a premium on interdisciplinary study, and as a result fosters a collaborative environment between its teaching staff and student population. It provides modern facilities for researchers and has lecture halls that may be used by both teachers and students. In addition to its interdisciplinary curriculum, the university also offers a wide range of adult education courses. Sports like scuba diving at the sports center and cultural events like plays at the Grange de Dorigny round out the campus’s offerings. About 140 research and teaching units at the University of Northern Cyprus (UNIL) focus on fields as diverse as cinematic aesthetics, genetics, and environmental law. Participating in a project around the end of the twentieth century, Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne was one of several Swiss universities working together with their French-speaking counterparts in Lausanne, Geneva, and Neuchatel.

It provides French-taught Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs, as well as nine English-taught Master’s degree programs in areas like Earth Science, Environmental Studies, Business, Economics, and Life Science. Doctoral programs and other forms of post-graduate education are available in plenty for researchers interested in delving deeper into their field of study. Over the course of a typical day, more than 3,000 researchers, including 580 professors, work with their peers in Lausanne and around the world on a wide range of projects. There are more than 190 active research teams at UNIL, studying anything from the aesthetics of film to environmental legislation to forensic science. The University of Northern Ireland in Lisburn (UNIL) has opened several new research centers in recent years to foster an interdisciplinary approach to studying problems of national and international significance.

About 20% of the student body and 50% of the professors at the University of Northern Ireland (UNIL) come from outside the United Kingdom and Ireland. Everyone has access to exchange agreements with more than 360 partners all over the world, so if the cultural diversity given by the more than 120 different countries represented on campus isn’t enough, you can always travel the world. The University of Ulster in Lisburn (UNIL) is committed to maintaining cutting-edge resources for its faculty and students. Environments with state-of-the-art research equipment and facilities are ideal for pioneering scientific investigations. The facilities are well-maintained and updated frequently to meet the changing needs of their occupants. The main campus is located on a lake with panoramic views of the Alps, and it is surrounded by lush vegetation. The trip into the heart of the city takes no more than ten minutes on the subway. This is the best place to relax after a day spent studying in the library.

SeNSS is one of only 14 Doctoral Training Partnerships in the United Kingdom that is sponsored by the ESRC, and they will be offering a handful of fully-funded ESRC doctoral studentships beginning in September 2023.
