In honor for the memory of Roger Casement, as the Irish human right activist the Irish Aid established the Roger Casement Fellowship. Roger Casement in his early working life he almost spent in Calabar, Nigeria for being a human rights advocate. The fellowship is now accepting citizens from Nigerian to apply for this fully funded Casement Fellowship in Human Rights.
The Casement fellowship offers a fully funded support for one year master’s level of Human Rights study in Ireland. Their goal is to help a talented students for the opportunity to further an advance education and to develop their professional skills so they can contribute it for the future development of the Nigerian country.
The fellowship also covers the travel expenses to be specific with their airfares and stipends to cover the successful student’s accommodations and living cost, health allowance in addition to that the fellowship may also cover the visa expenses and entry arrangements.
For a Nigerian students, they must have an academic standards in able to be accepted for the master’s level course in Human Rights study. Three years minimum of relevant work experience, able to commit for the future development of Nigeria, willing to take up the academic year of which is being offered. An IELTS of 6.5 is required for English proficiency.
