Founded in 1920, Swansea University is one of the most reputable universities in the UK. Swansea University is a UK top 30 institution for research excellence (Research Excellence Framework 2014). Swansea University has been named as Welsh University of the Year 2017 by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide.
This studentship is doctoral degree program jointly run by Swansea University and the University of Cape Town. The candidate will be awarded their degree by Swansea University on successful completion, “offered in Collaboration with the University of Cape Town”.
Terms and Conditions:
- Candidates should have at least an Upper Second Class Honours or equivalent undergraduate degree in a relevant subject. An additional advantage would be an MSc and/or relevant experimental/methodological/field experience.
- Candidates whose first language is not English, need to have IELTS 6.5 (with 6.0 in each component) or equivalent. Please visit the website for a list of acceptable English language tests.

- Academic Transcripts and Degree Certificates
- Their CV
- Applicants should benefit the ‘Supplementary Personal Statement’ section of the application form to elucidate why the project particularly appeals to them, and how they would resolve to develop it.
- Two Academic References
