The Barbara Solomon Scholarships for Social Work are offered to American students entering the Master of Social Work, Doctor of Social Work or Ph. D. in Social Work program at Walden University. Walden is an online, accredited university which offers degrees in a number of fields including social work.
Six scholarships per year are awarded via the Barbara Solomon scholarships in the amounts of $5,000, $10,000 and full tuition, depending on the scholarship that is won. In order to qualify to apply for this scholarship, you must have at least a 3.5 GPA, past experience working in social work and you also must complete a 1,000 word essay about a topic that is important to you on social hardship that faces an underprivileged sector of society.
The scholarship is open to US citizens only and the deadline to apply is May 31, 2020.
