Start a new goal by fulfilling a fully-funded internship in the United States. This ten (10) week research program allows undergraduate and graduate students to undertake high-level training accompanied by highly recognized national and global mentors.

The internship is conducted in conjunction with NOAA’s GSL Research Laboratory at the Colorado Institute. There, highly qualified students will have the privilege of receiving training of high academic standards, by successfully completing this learning process of excellence, they will be able to achieve a boost in their career.

Scholarship endowment:

The United States CIRES Funded Internship will award the following prizes to the winning candidates:

  • $750 twice-weekly stipend for undergraduate fellows. Also $1,500 for postgraduate students.
  • They will promote their skills through learning strategies that allow them to solve social problems.
  • You will have the opportunity to conduct research at NOAA‘s Global Systems Laboratory.

Conditions that must be met by participants:

  • Be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course.
  • You must currently be a permanent resident of the United States.
  • Be willing to complete this full-time internship program on the established schedule.
  • Be interested in carrying out research in the environment and research activities in geosciences.
  • Submit a formal registration for the fully-funded internship through the CIRES program entry system.
  • The minimum GPA is not required.
