The Australasian Centre for Italian Studies (ACIS), supported by the Cassamarca Foundation (Treviso), promotes the activities of research and teaching in the area of Italian Studies in Australasian tertiary institutions.
The ACIS is offering a scholarship to provide postgraduate students in Australia or New Zealand University with a chance to work on a research project in Italy in 2018.
This scholarship is to pursue postgraduate research, and is available up to three scholarship worth 4788.00$ US Dollar. This can be taken in Italy.
To be eligible for this scholarship the following criteria must be met:
- A student who will be enrolled in 2018 full-time or part-time in master by research or PhD in any university in Australia or New Zealand.
- Will be engaged in research projects in Italian Studies such as archaeology and classical antiquities, language, literature, culture, history, politics and society, including migration studies
As stated, the Scholarships are awarded for research projects in any of the following areas of Italian Studies: archaeology and classical antiquities, language, literature, culture, history, politics and society, including migration studies.
To apply for this scholarship students need a cover letter including the
- Details academic referee and any other sources of income (postgraduate scholarship, Italian Government scholarship, grants, awards or financial assistance from any source) obtained or under consideration for 2018 in relation to the research.
- A research proposal which includes title, detailing the work to be carried out including timetable, budget for the use of funds
- Curriculum vitae
- Transcript of record
Deadline for application is October 15, 2017
The award must be taken up before 1 December 2018.
