The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation (DRCRF) of the United States, promotes a project of financial support to foreign students who are interested in starting a postdoctoral course in research related to the field of health in the USA.
Established in 1946, the organization is dedicated to non-profit cancer research. For her hard work, she has been recognized by different world entities. It has internationally renowned doctors and professionals from this area. Currently, the DRCRF works in coordination with the University of California (UCLA). It is there where the winning applicants of the four (4) year scholarships with a value greater than $ 52,000 for each academic period will carry out their apprenticeship.

Who can participate ?:

The endowment of the scholarship:
The scholarship for Latinos and Hispanics is distributed as follows:
- First year: $ 52,000.
- Second-year $ 54,000.
- Third-year $ 57,000.
- Fourth-year $ 60,000.
- The $ 2,000 spending allowance is awarded to the laboratory where the fellow works and can be used by the fellow for their educational and scientific expenses. With a written request to the Foundation, you are allowed to use the money to pay for medical care, and with the approval of your sponsor, you determine the purpose of the stipend. It cannot be used to cover general institutional fees, post-doctoral fellow registration fees, or scholarship taxes.

Applicants must submit the following documents: High school transcript, essay, and ACT – SAT score or a letter from the candidate regarding research and teaching experience. The evaluation committee may require other papers to guarantee your academic level, it is recommended to be prepared when making the application.
