Yale University is a private Ivy League university based in New Haven, Connecticut. Established in the year 1701, it is the US’ third-oldest institution. The previous ‘Collegiate School,’ which was chartered by the Connecticut Colony, is one of the 9 remaining colonial colleges that continue to operate even after the American Revolution.

Yale University is another prestigious university located in the United States. Like Harvard University, Yale University gives undergraduate scholarships according to need and Master’s and PhD scholarships in forms of fellowships and assistantships. The average scholarship for Yale university was over $50,000 a year, and there are fully funded scholarships available for international students in need that goes over $70,000 a year.

Area Yale Club awards, endowed scholarships, and other gift aid from Yale’s alumni and friends may be used as grants in place of some Yale Scholarship funds.

Eligibility

  • Must be an undergraduate or a graduate.
  • Yale’s need-based grant aid for undergraduates, the Yale Scholarship, is a gift and thus never has to be repaid. If a student is awarded financial aid, the Yale Scholarship amount is included on the Financial Aid Award Letter.

Requirements

All applicants must be enrolled for Finical Aid. These receipts and papers will need to be sent in along with an acceptance letter.

Applicants from a range of socioeconomic backgrounds and income levels qualify for need-based aid. Each family’s financial circumstances are unique, and our staff performs a holistic review of each application for aid. A Yale financial aid award meets 100% of a student’s Demonstrated Financial Need based on the Estimated Cost of Attendance and a calculated Expected Family Contribution.

How to Apply

Students must be accepted or already enrolled into Yale University.

Every Yale financial aid award includes two parts: grant aid and the Student Share. Grant aid may include a need-based Yale Scholarship and/or funds from external sources including entitlement grants (Federal Pell Grant, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant/SEOG, and state grants) or merit-based scholarships a student may have earned from outside organizations. Yale does not award any merit-based scholarships, but funds from external scholarships may reduce or replace the Student Effort.

Reward

A typical full tuition coverage is available to students who show need-base or finical struggle.

Deadline

The deadline is every semester, meaning the Fall/Winter semester is coming up. So for 2021, there is one last deadline in December.

Annual

This is an annual scholarship opportunity, as well as, a per semester scholarship that freshmen or already enrolled students of Yale can apply for.
