This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has demonstrated academic excellence in their first year and will help offset the costs of fees or other course-related costs. The goal of this scholarship, which is jointly supported by Kahui Legal and Taihonoa, is to encourage and provide financial assistance for the successful pursuit of postsecondary education and the development of leadership skills for Kahui Legal.

About the Scholarship Provider:

In 1897, the doors to what is now Victoria University opened to its first group of students. Kelburn, a suburb of Wellington, is home to the main campus and is only two kilometers (1.2 miles) from the heart of the city. Several schools of architecture and design as well as the Law Faculty, a section of the Faculty of Commerce and Administration, may be found in the heart of the city.

You can join a variety of student organizations and activities in New Zealand to meet people and become involved with campus life. Humanities and social science, engineering, health, social science, and education are all housed on the Kelburn campus in New Zealand. Pipitea Campus is the second location. It is the administrative center for all things related to the administration of law, finance, government, and information technology in New Zealand, and it is conveniently positioned close to the seat of government itself. The School of Design and Architecture can be found on Te Aro, the university’s third and largest campus. In addition, Victoria University may be found in the heart of Auckland’s commercial sector.

One alternative is to continue studying at a higher level than undergraduate. Around a thousand hardworking teachers that want nothing but the best for their children work there. Victoria University is a great option for students interested in practical experience because it is home to more than forty research institutions and centers. The campus and the university’s amenities are regularly ranked among the best in the world. This means it can house a wide variety of artistic expressions. During the lunch break, there are also seminars and entertainment. The university’s convenient location near major thoroughfares makes it an attractive commuting option. Numerous notable figures in history have earned degrees from Victoria University. Names like Barbara Anderson, Sam Neill, Jane Campion, Dr. John Money, and Dr. Alexander Gerst will be familiar to you.

The single most important indicator of a university’s commitment to research is its research intensity, and Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand is at the top. Over forty separate laboratories can be found on campus. In addition to more than 170 different majors, the university also offers internships, field trips, and research opportunities that provide students a chance to hone their analytical and problem-solving skills. Our devotion to the tikanga Mori begins and ends with Te Herenga Waka, the marae (Mori meeting house and grounds) on our campus (Mori cultural traditions). Students and their families (known on campus as “whnau”) are welcome to join us. The university’s Living P project is also remarkable since it seeks to promote greater cultural understanding and respect through the rehabilitation of a marae. The community has banded together to create a living lab known as The Living P in an effort to make the world a more equitable, sustainable, and just environment for all. University of Wellington students and faculty can take advantage of Wellington’s proximity to New Zealand’s government, cultural institutions, business community, and scientific institutions.

The New Zealand Parliament buildings, where laws are debated and passed, are situated in close proximity to the Kelburn campus of the University of Auckland. Wellington, New Zealand is a relatively tiny city, yet it packs a big punch in terms of entertainment options, landmarks, and cultural events. The city is well-known for its excellent gastronomy and coffee as well as its cosmopolitan vibe, safety, and friendliness. Ethical values including respect, justice, responsibility, and compassion are held in high esteem at the University.

Our commitment to these core values is shown in our emphasis on things like sustainability, social responsibility, community outreach, equity, diversity, collegiality, and transparency. By supporting students in both their intellectual and emotional development, the university demonstrates its dedication to its guiding values. The university also has a dedicated international support team to help international students with any needs they may have throughout their time there. Therefore, Victoria University of Wellington is dedicated to preparing students to competently interact with people from all walks of life and all parts of the world.
