Scholarship details
This MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship awarded at $5,000 has one major rule, that it doesn’t matter what the student is studying they should have the advantage to study abroad. Or in this case Canada or the United States. The applicant can live in any part of the world and still apply for this scholarship to have a chance to study in any institution that accepts the scholarship tuition.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Applicant must be studying in the U.S. or Canada
- All applicants that are international students that have the legal documents to study in the U.S. or Canada, should follow these rules: For study in the U.S., this means that the applicant meets one of these criteria: Student must have a valid visa that permits study in the U.S. The student is protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). The student is a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder).
- For study in Canada, this means the applicant meets one of these criteria: – The students is a Canadian permanent resident. The student has a valid Canadian study permit.
- Applicants that are Canadian can not study in Canada, they must study in the U.S. If the applicant is a United States citizen they have to study in Canada, not the U.S.
How to Apply
All eligible students must complete, regardless if you are a current MPOWER borrower or not, the application form to enter the scholarship. The only thing to do is for the applicant to simply fill out the form and submit before the deadline date.
Reward
$5,000 is the gran amount that will be awarded to the applicant that is chosen, while $1,000 will be handed out to other students that fit most of the criteria.
Deadline & Annual
July 20, 2021 is the deadline date, however this is an annual scholarship. So the next deadline date will be July 20, 2022.
