Scholarship details
The Clan Donald Educational and Charitable Trust was created to foster and improve the good relationship between Scotland and the United States.
Each year the Trust offers a scholarship for graduate study at a Scottish University of the applicant’s choice. Scholarship recipients must be US citizens and are chosen without regard to gender, race or religion.
This scholarship is limited to members of Clan Donald USA and their children (under 18). Members include all Life, Annual & Youth memberships.
Eligibility & Requirements
- A student’s field of study must be one of these three: Piping, Drumming, or Fiddling.
- Student must have at least two years experience on his or her instrument.
- This scholarship is awarded for instruction at an accredited North American School, with preference given to St. Anne’s Gaelic College in Nova Scotia.

- To apply for any of these scholarships, please sign into your account and navigate to the Application & Donation Forms page on the menu to the upper right and follow the instructions there.
- There will be section with essays and one asking why you are applying for this scholarship and the purpose on why you chose your field of study.
