About the Scholarship Provider:

In 2006, the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates became home to the establishment of the Canadian University of Dubai. This non-public institution follows the same academic standards as Canadian universities for its undergraduate and graduate programs, and maintains close relations with Centennial College, which is located in Ontario. The institution is divided into four departments: engineering, applied science and technology, management, communication arts and sciences, and architecture and interior design. Every academic program offers students the opportunity to transfer to one of the university’s partner institutions in either Canada or worldwide during their second year of study.

The student body at Canadian University in Dubai comes from over 120 different countries, making it one of the most diverse student populations in the world. Both the Discovery Gardens and the Muhaisnah 2 are available to students as potential places to stay throughout their time at the university. The campus can be reached on foot from each of these lodging options in around 25 minutes, and there is a bus service that operates frequently throughout the day.

Students will have access to a variety of educational resources, including computer labs, scientific labs, athletic facilities, and other activities such as the theater club, social outings, and support with future career planning. CUD has affiliations with some of the most prestigious colleges and institutes in the world, including ones in Canada, France, Ireland, and the United States of America, and it is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. By providing students in the UAE with an education of the highest possible standard, CUD acts as a stepping stone for those students who wish to continue their study in higher education in Canada. Students at CUD come from more than one hundred different countries, and they are enrolled in a wide range of academic programs as a result.
