Students who are required to pay tuition fees in order to participate in a master’s program at our university are eligible for various partial scholarships provided by the University of Skovde.

The Institution of Skovde is a relatively new university that provides instruction in a wide variety of subjects, including those that are customarily included in university curricula as well as original academic programs in a wide variety of academic areas. A good number of our courses are interdisciplinary, meaning that they draw on concepts and methods from more than one academic discipline. This is one of the core tenets of the University of Skovde’s philosophy, and it is reflected in the high quality of the educational programs that are provided within an atmosphere that values equality and variety.
In order to keep the standard of the programs consistent at all times, it is necessary to do ongoing assessment and development. As part of an exchange program we have with other universities, we welcome students from other countries to study at the University of Skovde. The university provides fully English-speaking instruction for its post-graduate students by way of master’s degree programs. Academics from different countries are also encouraged to participate in lecturer exchanges or other sorts of visits. Students who are required to pay tuition fees in order to participate in a Master’s program here at our university are eligible to apply for scholarships that are administered by the University of Skovde and supported by the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR). These scholarships are equivalent to a waiver of up to fifty percent of the total tuition cost. There is only one campus that belongs to the university, and it is located in close proximity to both the city center of Skovde and the housing facilities for students. The campus also features a sizable parkland area, and the university restaurant serves as a convenient gathering place for students, faculty, and staff, as well as outside guests.
The Student Accommodation Service at the University of Skovde works closely with housing firms located all throughout the city, although there are only a select few rooms available to students that are fully equipped. There are no double rooms available. You are eligible to apply for student housing even though you are an international student residing outside of Sweden; however, we are unable to promise that you will be accepted. You are not eligible to apply for student housing if you intend to bring your husband, wife, or children with you to the university.
There is a restricted number of fully furnished rooms available, some of which include a private shower and toilet, while others have access to public showers and toilets. In most cases, a down payment or deposit is necessary. In most cases, the rental price for the furnished room will already cover the cost of electricity, heating, water, a pillow and a quilt, as well as access to the internet. Both the kitchen and the living room are used by multiple students at the same time. Take notice that you are all responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen as well as the living room. In many cases, guests have access to a laundry facility that is fully equipped with washing machines and dryers. The majority of laundry facilities offer free usage of their services. An appointment with the landlord to inspect your accommodation must take place at least two weeks before you want to depart Skovde, and the appointment must be scheduled in advance. It is essential that the space be spotless from top to bottom. In addition, please take note that housing designated for students does not allow pets of any kind.

Eligibility for Scholarship

- In order to be considered for admission to the first round of the master’s program, your application to the program must have been finished and all deadlines must have been met. You are required to have paid the application fee, submitted the supporting documents, and met the admission requirements for the master’s program to which you have applied, all of which must have been done so before the deadline established by University Admissions.
- In order to submit your application, you are required to complete the web form in its entirety. You are required to explain, in the motivation text that you submit, why you have decided to pursue your master’s degree at the University of Skovde. There will be no consideration given to scholarship applications that do not include a motivation text.
- Attention: It is not possible for you to submit an application for a University of Skovde Masters Scholarship at this time if you have previously been accepted to the University of Skovde or are currently enrolled there as a master’s student. These financial aid grants are given out prior to the beginning of a student’s master’s degree program.
