About the Scholarship Provider:

University College Dublin was one of the first European institutions to confer an MBA in 1964. With a faculty of around 100, a student body of around 1,400, and an alumni network of almost 98,000, UCD Smurfit School is one of the few institutions in the world to hold triple international accreditation (US – AACSB, European – EQUIS, and UK – AMBA). Both The Economist and The Financial Times, two of Europe’s most illustrious periodicals, consistently score this university’s business programs highly. The School is a part of both CEMS (Consortium of European Management Schools) and GNAM (Global Network for Advanced Management)

We have held the top spot for business schools in Ireland among EQUIS, AMBA, and AACSB for over 20 years. After more than a decade of success, The Economist has placed our full-time MBA program No. 67 in the world for 2021. We are the only Irish institution affiliated with both the Council for European Management Schools (CEMS) and the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM), both of which rank us among the top 1% of business schools worldwide. A degree from UCD’s Smurfit Graduate Business School can completely alter one’s career trajectory. This program is meant to prepare future leaders to make a good difference in their communities. Students here enjoy the advantages of being associated with Ireland’s largest institution, while also enjoying the smaller, quieter campus setting we offer just outside Dublin’s bustling downtown.

A new professional life and an international qualification may be in store for graduates of this program thanks to the inspiring community of highly driven students, the excellent caliber of the academic offerings, the Leadership Development Program, and the devoted support of the MBA Career Service. When you graduate from college, we want you to be ready to make an immediate difference in business and the world. We emphasize hands-on learning, so you can expect to develop a wide range of professional and social skills. You will improve your analytical thinking, worldview, communication skills, networking abilities, and teamwork prowess. Students, faculty, and staff from all over the world flock to UCD’s Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, making Dublin a booming global financial center. Our academics and researchers have been instrumental in reshaping international business policy and creating ground-breaking algorithms that make everyday banking safer. The reputation of the university offering the MBA program should be a major factor in your final decision.

The UCD Smurfit School has many high-quality features that demonstrate our dedication to excellence. Our academic credentials, international standing, graduate employment rates, faculty, research, and list of former and current students are all examples of this. To prepare for their exciting education at UCD Smurfit School, we are looking for the best and brightest minds from all over the world to join our community. We have earned accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB, USA), the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (UK), and the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS, Switzerland), making us the only business school in Ireland to do so, and one of only a handful of such schools in all of Europe. Fewer than one percent of the world’s business schools have earned all three of these honors. Our accreditation comes from independent international bodies, so you know your degree will be recognized and valued no matter where you go.

The 100 members of our faculty have been carefully selected from around the world; they are all experts in their fields and offer courses across the whole spectrum of management and business fundamentals. In demand for their expertise, many of our faculty members are regular contributors to national and international media outlets. Ten percent of our faculty are among the world’s top because they have published three times or more in the Financial Times’ 50 (FT50) most distinguished publications. Women make up 30% of the faculty and are responsible for 65% of our total number of publications.
