About the Scholarship Provider:

Because of our commitment to doing things differently and placing the success of our students at the center of all we do, we were awarded the title of University of the Year at the 2018 Times Higher Education Awards. The fact that students at Essex University come from more than 140 nations makes it one of the most internationally diverse educational institutions in the world. A complete source of information on everything to do with the planet Earth. Students at Essex University will get instruction from faculty members of the highest caliber in an environment that places a strong emphasis on research and encourages independent thought. We have moved up to number 25 on the list of universities in the United Kingdom (The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021). This is a direct result of the caliber of the research that we have conducted. We look back on the previous half-century with immense satisfaction at the achievements we’ve made in the fields of research and education. You will have the opportunity to become a member of a community of students who are living their best lives at the school that you choose to attend, regardless of the location of that institution. You will still be able to obtain a degree from us despite the fact that we offer such a diverse range of courses and concentrations, allowing you to put your attention where it is needed most. Everyone has the potential to join the ranks of people who have gone on to improve the world and spread the Essex spirit, including those who have won the Nobel Prize, the Academy Award for Best Director, and other prestigious honors.

Students attending the University of Essex have access to a wide variety of support services, which includes assistance with obtaining visas, finding housing, and securing employment opportunities. At the University of Edinburgh, first-year students get orientation and general information about campus life in the week preceding up to the beginning of each academic semester. Shuttle service is offered between Heathrow and Gatwick airports and the Colchester campus at the beginning of each new school year. The website of the University of Essex contains a multitude of materials that might aid international students in adjusting more rapidly to life as a university student. These resources include information on immigration, money, study skills, travel, and a variety of other topics. Students have the opportunity to participate in a cost-free academic English program during both the autumn and spring semesters. At the University of Essex, there are apartments that can house up to 16 people and each flat has a shared kitchen and at least one private bathroom. These flats are reserved for international students, and they will reside in these flats throughout the entirety of their time at the university. The University of Essex has been given the International Accommodation Quality Mark, which indicates that the vast majority of the institution’s international students who live on campus are quite pleased with the accommodations that are provided by the university (90 percent). It was voted the greatest overall facility in the country in 2009, and the National Student Housing Survey ranked it second both in 2010 and 2011. In 2011, it was ranked second overall.

Colchester, which holds the title of being the oldest known settlement in all of the United Kingdom, is home to the primary campus of the University of Essex. Southend is often regarded as one of the most secure places in the United Kingdom, and the University of Essex has established a brand new, state-of-the-art campus there. Additionally close by is the town of Harwich, which makes it convenient for students to move between the three locations. The High Street provides access to the Southend campus, which is a component of a brand-new complex that costs several million pounds. Students can reach the Loughton campus in fewer than thirty minutes by train when they go from Debden, which is situated at the eastern terminus of the Central Line. The Colchester Campus is the largest of the three institutions’ campuses and has a total enrollment of 15,000 students. These students come from over 130 different nations across the world. In addition to having a gymnasium and both indoor and outdoor tennis courts, the university’s campus spans a total area of 200 acres. Housing options are also provided. In recent years, the neighborhood has seen the arrival of over a dozen new companies, in addition to the carbon-free Essex Business School.
