Scholarship details
Tata Scholarship is offered by Tata Education and Development Trust to support approximately 20 scholars from India in collaboration with Cornell University. Tata Group is one of India’s oldest, largest, and most respected business establishment. The recipient must be a citizen of India who has attended secondary school in India and they are admitted to Cornell as an undergraduate student and be eligible for need-based financial aid.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Applicants must be a citizen of India and have attended secondary school in India.
- Must be offered admission to Cornell as an undergraduate student.
- Applicants must be eligible for need-based financial aid.
- Preference will be given to qualified students accepted to the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning; the College of Engineering; the Applied Economics and Management major in the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business; and majors across colleges in the biological sciences, physical sciences, and other “hard” sciences, as well as the social sciences.
How to Apply
For applicants to apply for international financial aid the following documentation is required are a completed College Scholarship Service (CSS) PROFILE (Cornell’s CSS code is 2098). And

Reward
The scholarship is awarded annually and recipients will receive the scholarship for the duration of their undergraduate studies at Cornell University.
This reward will last as long as an applicant shows financial need and that applicant will be ensured of what the reward covers for the semesters it takes to finished an undergraduate degree.
An individual tuition year at Cornell University costs around $40,000, and this is the amount that will be given to the applicants chosen.
Deadline & Annual
November 1, 2021 is the deadline time, and no later. This is required from all applicants to send in all documents before November 1, 2021. This is an annual scholarship that can be applied to each year, however, if you’ve applied before and were a recipient, there is no more need to apply.
