The University of Bradford grants these scholarships to enable fresh asylum seekers, as well as students who have already been given refugee status but are unable to obtain student financial aid, to pursue higher education.

Through most of September, the International Office runs an orientation program until the beginning of term, which is supported by current students. Scholarship Offer:
- Scholarship for Tuition Fees: Selected students will be provided a tuition fee-remitted (that is, no fees) place at university until such time as they are awarded status that permits them to apply for student finance (if at all)
- To assist students with their travel and course costs, a grant in the amount of £4,000 a year (per year if applicable) will be offered to those who are successful.
- Personal Support: In addition to fee remission, students will be provided with assistance in identifying and overcoming barriers to success on their degree program and in their future professions after graduation.
Eligibility for Scholarship.
You must be able to:
- An asylum seeker or their partner or dependent; OR a partner or dependent of an asylum seeker.
- An asylum seeker, refugee, partner, or dependent who has been granted Discretionary Leave to Remain (DLR) or some other form of temporary status; OR a refugee who has been granted Discretionary Leave to Remain (DLR) or some other form of temporary status.
- A refugee who has previously studied but is unable to obtain student financing because of this previous study
The Gates Cambridge Scholarship covers the entire cost of attending Cambridge University. It also gives discretionary funding in addition to the mandatory funding. The Fully Funded Cambridge Scholarship ‘s goal is to build a global network of future leaders who are committed to making people’s lives better.
