Inconsistent weather is a common complaint among locals in Melbourne because to the city’s position on a peninsula that protrudes into the ocean. The location of Melbourne, where the dry interior and the temperate waters of the Southern Ocean meet, helps to create the city’s mild climate. Extreme cold fronts can develop after being exposed for a while. You’ll begin to notice it more clearly as spring and summer progress. When these fronts sweep through the country, they bring with them the potential for extremely low temperatures, hail, powerful thunderstorms, and high winds. More than that, they could lead to widespread cooling and prolonged precipitation. Winter lows in Melbourne, Australia, are typically 20° to 30°F colder than in the other mainland state capitals. Lows of -2.8 degrees Celsius are not unheard of, however snow is unusual. During the winter, Melbourne is more likely to experience frost and fog than it is to see snow. It’s worth investing in a warm Canadian-made coat instead of merely a jacket for the coming autumn months.
