About the Scholarship Sponsor:

The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, more commonly referred to as RMIT Institution, is a research institution that can be found in Australia and has its primary campus in Melbourne. The expansive campus, along with the outstanding quality of the institution’s research, professional and technical training programs, and other offerings, have contributed to the institution’s widespread recognition across the globe. In 1887, Francis Ormond was the one who began laying the groundwork for the school. In the beginning, it was organized as a night school where students may study a wide range of topics, such as arts, sciences, and technologies. In 1992, the institution was referred to for the first time using the phrase “public university.” RMIT University receives about 87,000 new students each year, with 34,347 of those students traveling from other nations to study either on the RMIT campus or at one of the university’s offshore campuses. The research conducted by the university results in revenue of $54.1 million annually.

The university is ranked twelfth in the world for the study of art and design, and it has earned its position. The heart of Melbourne’s central business district is home to the primary campus of RMIT University. The campus has a significant amount of heritage interest due to the fact that it is located in the oldest part of the city. In addition to its main campus in Melbourne, the university also operates campuses in Bundoora and Brunswick in the Australian state of Victoria. In addition to that, it possesses two primary campuses, two regional offices, and a central location in Spain. In the time that has passed since then, a total of 87 new buildings have been added to the campus. The absence of institutionalized prejudice is one of the aspects that set RMIT University apart from other educational institutions. The university spans over 720,000 square meters and encompasses six city blocks, bringing the total area to over one million square feet.

Approximately one hundred thirty countries are each represented by a member of RMIT University’s alumni organization, which has a total membership of over 437,000 people. This university was attended by a number of well-known people, such as the well-known Australian artist Charles Billich, the well-known Australian movie director James Wan, the well-known Australian novelist James Wan, the well-known Australian charity worker Jim Stynes, and the well-known Australian animator Felix Colgrave. RMIT has been providing its students with opportunities to participate in mixed learning, which incorporates both online and in-person instruction. Students have the opportunity to engage in online lectures and tutorials provided by Canvas, our online learning and teaching platform. This makes it possible for students to continue their education regardless of where they are physically located in the world. You will become a part of RMIT’s thriving online community, which allows students and professors from all over the world to communicate with one another, share their experiences, and gain knowledge from those of others. The health, biomedical science, and engineering departments of RMIT can be found in a number of its buildings in Bundoora, which is located in the far northwest suburbs of Melbourne.
