Scholarship details
Concordia University has a strong foundation in the liberal arts runs through the entire curriculum. Plus, all students complete two of our signature integrative learning experiences (PEAKs) where the focus is on active learning that occurs outside of the traditional classroom. Some PEAK options include: assuming one of several student leadership roles, taking a non-traditional semester-long course, embarking on a three-week trip abroad or participating in an intensive week-long experience.
Founded in 1891 by Norwegian settlers who valued education and their religious heritage, Concordia opened its doors with 12 students and three instructors.
Concordia offers two annual, renewable scholarships of at least 50% of tuition to selected international undergraduate students dedicated to advancing intercultural learning and understanding at Concordia. First-year international students who have applied to Concordia can apply for the #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship.
Eligibility & Requirements
- All academic majors and fields of study can apply.
- Only international first-year applicants or college students can apply.
- Must be an international citizen that does not hold a U.S. citizenship.
- Must show leadership.
- All applicants must have completed their Concordia Scholarship Interview.
- Must show that each applicant has the ability to pay at least $23,000 USD.
How to Apply
Students will participate in a video interview to further explain the ways in which they will impact the campus through their dedication to advancing intercultural learning and understanding. Students will be invited to participate in this video interview following admission.
The only way to apply for this scholarship is to apply for admission to Concordia College and submit all required application materials.
The scholarship link provided will be reactivated when the open submission window comes back around. The next deadline will be in Feb. 2022. In the meantime, read up on the eligible factors and what payment options are available for tuition and fees.
Reward
Students and their family or financial sponsor must be able to pay at least $23,000 USD (or more) per year as this is not a full scholarship.
Deadline & Annual
All application materials must be submitted by February 28, 2022. You must be officially enrolled at Concordia and submit your tuition deposit by May 1, 2022. This is an annual scholarship for international first year students.
