A £3,000 scholarship is available to overseas students who are enrolled in one of our Chinese-English Translation and Interpreting programs. Five scholarships are up for grabs.

Students at the University of Essex can benefit from assistance with a wide range of issues, including visas, accommodation, and employment prospects, to name a few. Pre-arrival information and orientation, as well as events at the University of Edinburgh, are part of the welcome week prior to the start of each semester. Shuttle service is offered between Heathrow and Gatwick airports and the Colchester campus at the beginning of each academic year. Students can participate in a free academic English program during the fall and spring semesters. For the length of their studies, all international students at the University of Essex will be housed in University-owned housing, which comprises of 16-person flats with a communal kitchen, half of which have en-suite bathrooms. The International Accommodation Quality Mark has been awarded to the University of Essex, making it clear that international students who live on campus are exceptionally happy with their accommodations at the university (90 percent). In both 2010 and 2011, the National Student Housing Survey ranked it second, and in 2009, it was named the greatest overall facility.

Colchester, the UK’s oldest recorded town, is home to the University of Essex’s main campus. Southend, one of the UK’s safest towns, boasts a new state-of-the-art campus for the University of Essex. All three campuses are less than an hour away from London, and the port of Harwich is also in the immediate vicinity.. It is possible to get to the Southend campus from the High Street, which is part of a new multi-million pound facility. Students may get to the Loughton campus in less than a half-hour by train from Debden, which is at the eastern end of the Central Line and about 35 minutes from Liverpool Street. About 15,000 students from roughly 130 countries attend the Colchester Campus, which is the largest of the three. In addition to a gym and indoor/outdoor courts, the university’s 200-acre campus offers a choice of housing options. More than 20 enterprises and the carbon-neutral Essex Business School have set up shop in the neighborhood. 

 

The university also has 30 research institutes and institutions working on a wide range of topics. Students from all over the world benefit from the university’s wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs, which include accounting, management, biochemistry, science, finance, writing, criminology, journalism, human rights, drama, data analytics, and engineering. In addition, the university provides courses in a wide range of languages, including English. Short-term courses in a wide range of specialized disciplines are also available to students who wish to improve their knowledge. A wide range of employment in research, hospitality, administration, and management are also available at the school. Scholarship Offer:

For their first year of study at the University of Essex’s PG program, those selected will get a £3,000 tuition fee discount.

 

Eligibility for Scholarship.

  • In order for the applicants to be considered, they are required to fulfill all of the following and stated criteria:
  • Your academic pursuits should be entirely self-funded.
  • Maintain a provisional admission offer to study Chinese-English Translation and Interpreting in one of the available classes
  • Applicants are required to be enrolled at Essex for the 2022-23 academic year.
  • These scholarships are only open to applicants from other countries who are completely self-sufficient financially.
  • Only students in their first year of master’s program eligibility can apply for this prize.

  • Are you interested, and do you qualify? Applying to the University of Essex can be done online at www.essex.ac.uk.
  • For the entry for 2022-23: It is our policy to automatically take into consideration for this scholarship any application for one of our relevant courses that is received by the specified date (the 31st May 2022). There is no need for you to fill out a separate application form at this time.

 

Endowment funds established by retired ophthalmologists Drs. Mary Calthorpe and George Wong are intended to aid in the funding of medical school scholarships for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. For the purpose of increasing the number of indigenous doctors in indigenous areas, the Calthorpe Wong Indigenous Medical Scholarship was founded in 2010.
