About the Scholarship:

The School of Medicine and Surgery at Newcastle University was established in 1834, marking the beginning of the university. Since that time, the University has made significant strides forward in terms of the quality of its research. A learning environment second to none is produced by its focus on the needs of the individual student. Since the university is a founding member of the Russell Group, it provides its students with the extraordinary chance to study at the forefront of current research and discoveries. In addition to a number of departments that have won awards, this university, which can be found in the middle of England’s North East region, provides more than two hundred undergraduate degrees and three hundred postgraduate degrees. There are over 65 different sports clubs at Newcastle University, which ensures that students have lots of opportunities to challenge themselves and meet new people outside of the lecture classroom.

In point of fact, the University only recently invested a total of thirty million pounds in the construction of brand-new, state-of-the-art athletic facilities. In addition to the brand new athletic facilities, students have the opportunity to participate in one of more than 160 different societies on campus. With campuses located in Newcastle, London, Singapore, and Malaysia, Newcastle University offers a global reach and contacts with employers located all over the world. Both undergraduate medical and biomedical education from the United Kingdom are available at the Malaysian campus, while engineering degrees can be earned at the Singapore campus through a cooperation with the Singapore Institute of Technology as well as Ngee Ann and Nanyang Polytechnics. The campus of the university, which encompasses a total area of 50 acres in the middle of Newcastle, may be found right in the middle of the city. On campus, you’ll find both a well-stocked library and a center for physical recreation and sport (the Centre for Physical Recreation and Sport). Research on aging is carried out to a very high standard at the Campus for Ageing and Vitality. St. James’ Park is located in close proximity to the Business School of Newcastle University.

The building known as the Newcastle Helix Urban Sciences is where you’ll find the School of Computing. Every building on campus is outfitted with state-of-the-art instructional and research facilities, including spacious lecture halls, state-of-the-art classrooms, fully-stocked laboratories, vast libraries, and sizable meeting rooms. In addition, there are some excellent residential and catering amenities located on the premises. The institution maintains campuses in other international locations, including London, Singapore, and Malaysia. It was the first medical school in the United Kingdom to establish a fully owned campus outside of the country when it did so in 2011 with the opening of its NUMed Campus in Malaysia. The university’s Centre for Training and Career Support makes advantage of this worldwide connectivity in order to provide students with the ability to have a global perspective as well as professional competencies. Additionally, the university makes available to its students a great number of excellent work opportunities.

The alumni of Newcastle University are quite accomplished and well-known, and the university boasts a sizable network of former students. Funke Abimbola is a TV contributor who has won multiple awards, as well as an entrepreneur, a lawyer, a public speaker, an advocate for diversity, a board member, and a patron. Radio host and journalist Kate Adie is a well-known figure in her field. Courses and programs at Newcastle University (NCL) can lead to degrees that are officially recognized by the higher education community in a variety of academic disciplines. This institution of higher education in the United Kingdom has been around for 57 years and has a rigorous admissions process that requires students to take entrance examinations and submit their past academic records and ratings. It is open to students from any part of the world to submit an application for admission. In addition, NCL provides students with a library, housing, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, financial help and/or scholarships, and administrative services.
