In order to encourage students with great research potential to participate in Griffith University’s Higher Degree Research (HDR) program, the university offers a variety of stipend scholarships during the academic year. The Griffith University Postgraduate Research Scholarship is the name given to these prizes (GUPRS). The GUPRS are only intended to help candidates with their general living expenses; they do not cover the price of the program itself. Scholarship Offer:
Both a living allowance in the amount of AUD $28,854 (2022 rate, indexed annually) per annum, which is paid out as a fortnightly stipend, as well as a relocation payment, are provided by the GUPRS. In addition, provisions for leave of absence, parental leave, and medical leave are applicable. The costs of attendance won’t be covered by this scholarship.
Eligibility for Scholarship
- Applicants must either be starting a research program at Griffith University or already be enrolled in one there in order to be eligible for consideration for a grant of a Griffith University Postgraduate Research Scholarship. In order to be eligible for the GUPRS stipend, applicants cannot have another source of income that contributes to covering their basic living expenses and that provides a benefit that is larger than 75% of the GUPRS stipend. It is not appropriate to take into account any revenue that is unrelated to the candidate’s research program or income that is received for the candidate’s research program but is not used for the purpose of sustaining the candidate’s general living costs.
