Scholarship details
The Australian National University has announced its research scholarships for all international students. All students who wish to continue their higher studies in Australia can apply for the Australian National University (ANU) Full Research Scholarships for the 2021-2022 session. This scholarship is offered for masters and doctoral programs.
The Australian National University (ANU) Scholarship is awarded by the Commonwealth Department of Education and Training to help national and overseas students study and research at world-renowned universities.
ANU Full Scholarships are offered to almost all academic majors and subjects for foreign students to pursue their Masters and PhDs in Australia. The time period of the ANU international research scholarship for the master’s degree will be 2 years and the doctoral program will be 4 years. This scholarship will cover tuition including accommodation and settlement costs.

This scholarship will cover the following expenses :
- Full college tuition fee
- Monthly living expenses
- Plane tickets
- Thesis expenses
- Health medical insurance
Conditions that participants must meet:
- All international and national students can apply for this scholarship.
- When applying for the ANU Masters scholarship, the applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree
- Applicant must have a valid Master’s degree while applying for the Ph.D. program
- Possess a certificate of English proficiency
Instructions to apply:
Students initiating Master’s or Ph.D. studies: An application specifically for this scholarship is not required as all eligible candidates will be considered. Please note that to ensure that you are considered, be sure to check the appropriate boxes on the admission application form to keep in mind that you are interested in being considered for available scholarships.
Applicants continuing their studies: Please complete and return the “ Current ANU Student Application to be Considered for an HDR Scholarship ” form to your Academic University.
Deadline:
There are two rounds of full scholarships from the ANU:
- For round 2 of 2021, the deadline for international and national students is April 15, 2021
- For round 1 of 2022, the deadline for international students is August 31, 2021
