About the Scholarship:

There are numerous reasons why students from throughout the world choose to attend the University of Kent. Over 18,000 students from 152 different countries attend this university, which has two big campuses in the UK and specialist postgraduate centers all over Europe. Kent is ranked among the top 50 universities in the United Kingdom by the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021. Three of the top 10, and eight of the top twenty, listed in this handbook are: art history, social policy, and social work (anthropology; architecture; art and design; communications and media; German; law; linguistics; and theology). More than one percent of the world’s leading business schools have received the prestigious “Triple Crown” designation. All of Kent’s academic institutions provide high-quality work. In the most recent Research Excellence Framework, which evaluates the intensity of a university’s research output, Kent outperformed 11 of the best Russell Group universities. Research and teaching go hand in hand here at the university, so you’ll get to work with some of the world’s leading specialists in your field. It is possible for students at Kent to choose from a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degrees in addition to year-long internships in the workplace. Indian students come to our university every year to study everything from computer technology and artificial intelligence to business management to the arts and humanities including the study of philosophy.

If you’re an international student interested in attending the University of Kent, we provide a variety of financial aid opportunities for you. The Kent Scholarship for Academic Excellence and the International Scholarships are two examples of general academic scholarships accessible to undergraduates. Post-graduate students can apply for scholarships from Kent Business School, Kent Law School, and Kent School of Psychology. In the Center for English and World Languages at the University of Kent, all students can take instruction in English and other languages. These courses can be taken as stand-alone courses or as modules that count toward a degree prior to the start of the term. There is a personal tutor allocated to each student who is available to help them with their academics or personal issues. There are a wide range of international student organizations, both generic and country-specific. Welcome Week and throughout the school year, the Kent international team organizes a variety of events for international students, including Holi, Diwali and Bollywood parties for Indian students. International students can take advantage of a wide range of financial aid programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. As a result, the University of Kent provides numerous resources and opportunities to help its students succeed in their careers after graduation. All university students have access to financial aid for academic, personal, and professional development. The institution offers a wide range of employment options, including internships, volunteer work, a careers and employability counseling service, Language Express, and JobShop. Getting hands-on experience is easy with our many industry placements and our Hub for Innovation and Enterprise, which can help you stand out from the crowd and secure your dream job after graduation. We have a wide choice of student organizations to choose from, including sports and international groups, for students with a wide range of interests. Perhaps you’ll form a new organization of your own. Throughout the academic year, the Indian Society hosts a variety of events for students. As part of their annual celebrations, they hold Holi and Diwali parties, as well as Bollywood parties, throughout Welcome Week and all year long. All of our students have access to personal support services. Numerous services are offered to students, including a multi-faith chaplaincy team, the Canterbury Medical Centre, and the Disability and Dyslexia Support Service. The Student Learning Advisory Service (SLAS) offers free study assistance and counseling to students in need of it. A space at Kent is guaranteed for those who make it their first option for lodging at the institution. There are no shared bathrooms or kitchen facilities for postgraduate students on the Canterbury campus. Students can live together in a collegiate setup in nearby student villages, which include flats, studios, and shared houses. On the Medway Campus, students live in brand-new, en suite apartments that sleep five to eight people. Aside from two in the United Kingdom, the University of Kent’s four campuses are spread around Europe. The Canterbury campus is self-contained and provides all of its students with a warm and close-knit community. There are six colleges, the Templeman Library, the Mandela Building, and the Gulbenkian arts complex at Kent State University. The university’s campus is a 25-minute walk from Canterbury’s city center. The city has a happy and welcoming atmosphere. Historic buildings, vibrant pubs, quaint taverns, and a variety of stores are all within easy reach. You can take a high-speed train from here to Paris, Brussels, or Lille in two hours, making us the closest UK city to continental Europe.
