About the Scholarship Provider:

Among the earliest European universities to award an MBA, University College Dublin did so in 1964. UCD Smurfit School is one of a select few of institutions worldwide to hold triple international accreditation (US – AACSB, European – EQUIS, and UK – AMBA), with a faculty of about 100, a student body of 1,400, and an alumni network of 98,000. The business programs at this university are frequently ranked well by The Economist and The Financial Times, two of Europe’s most prestigious publications. In addition to being a member of the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM), the School is also a member of the Consortium of European Management Schools (CEMS).

For over 20 years, we have been ranked as the best business school in Ireland by EQUIS, AMBA, and AACSB. The Economist has ranked our full-time MBA program as No. 67 in the world for 2021, following more than a decade of excellence. We are proud to be among the top 1% of business schools worldwide (GNAM), in addition to being the only Irish member of the two largest business school alliances (CEMS and the Global Network for Advanced Management). The Smurfit Graduate Business School at UCD has the potential to drastically transform one’s professional life. The goal of this initiative is to train the leaders of tomorrow so that they can have a positive impact in their local communities. While our students benefit from being affiliated with Ireland’s largest university, they appreciate the smaller, more tranquil atmosphere of our campus, which is located just outside of Dublin’s city center.

With the right mix of highly motivated students, academic quality, the Leadership Development Program, and a devoted MBA Career Service, graduates of this program may look forward to a new professional life and an international qualification. We want you to leave college equipped to make an instant impact in business and the globe. We take a practical approach to teaching, so you can be sure to learn a wide range of professional and social abilities. You will develop your critical thinking and international perspective, as well as your ability to negotiate, communicate, network, and work in a team. The Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School at University College Dublin (UCD) attracts students, academics, and staff from all over the world, helping to make Dublin a thriving worldwide financial center. Our scholars and researchers are at the forefront of business innovation, having shaped global business policy and developed innovative algorithms to make everyday banking safer. When deciding on a graduate business program, it’s important to take the school’s standing into consideration.

Numerous aspects of the UCD Smurfit School attest to our commitment to quality. This includes our accreditations, international rankings, graduate employability, faculty, research, alumni, and current students. We’re seeking for the brightest minds from all over the world to join our community and lay the groundwork for their exciting education at UCD Smurfit School. We are the only business school in Ireland and one of only a handful of such schools in all of Europe to hold accreditation from all three of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB, USA), the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (UK), and the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS, Switzerland). Only a small fraction of business schools (around 1%) around the world hold all three of these prestigious accreditations. Our degrees have been assessed and approved as legitimate by unbiased agencies all around the world, so you can be assured that they will be respected and valued wherever you go.

Our 100-strong faculty, recruited from all around the world, consists of renowned teaching professionals in areas covering the fundamental subjects of business and management and contributes greatly to our stellar reputation. Our faculty members are sought after for their knowledge and experience, and many of them contribute often to national and international media. Ten percent of our academics have written three or more times in the Financial Times’ 50 (FT50) most prestigious journals, making them some of the best in the world. Not only do women account for 65% of our total publication output, but they make up 30% of our faculty.
