The Overseas Student Scholarship (ISS) is open to all new international students enrolling in vocational, research, full degree, or bundled academic courses at any of CQUniversity Australia’s campuses.

This scholarship does not have a minimum GPA requirement in order to be awarded. You will be immediately considered for the scholarship, which is equal to 25 percent of the total cost of the course you will be enrolling in at any CQUniversity location, provided that you have successfully completed your most recent studies and are beginning an eligible course there.

 

About the Scholarship Sponsor:

Central Queensland University was initially founded in Rockhampton in 1967 as the Queensland Institute of Technology (QIT) Capricornia. It did not receive its current name of Central Queensland University until 1992. It was given its current name, the University of Central Queensland, in the same year. Central Queensland University was selected as the new moniker for the institution in the year 1994. In the latter part of the year 2008, the university underwent an expansion and changed its name to CQUniversity. Over 30,000 students are currently enrolled at the university, making it one of the largest educational institutions with its main campus located in a remote area of Australia. Students come from over 140 nations all around the world, including Australia, to take advantage of the world-class academic facilities.

 

The university has various campuses located all across Australia, some of which are located in Rockhampton, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Cairns, Bundaberg, Brisbane, Gladstone, Emerald, Townsville, Noosa, Sydney, and Mackay. Other locations include Noosa, Sydney, and Mackay. In addition to this, the institution also operates a number of different study centers. The university offers research, programs leading to postgraduate and undergraduate degrees, as well as certificate and shorter-term study options. Study options at the university include fields such as education and the humanities, accounting and the law, community service, apprenticeships, trades and training, psychology, health, performing and visual arts, social work, information technology and digital media, science, and the environment, as well as a great deal of other fields.

Eligibility for Scholarship

  • The most current studies have been completed with success.
  • To earn the ISS, you do not need to maintain a certain grade point average. This aims to give an additional type of support for students so that they can still access higher education, taking into account the impacts that COVID will have.
  • Referring to the eligibility requirements for the International Student Scholarship would be appreciated.
  • Completion of the most recent studies with flying colors.

  • All new students who are enrolling in an eligible course for the first time at CQUniversity are eligible for the scholarship, which has a value of 25% of the total program fee.
  • Students currently enrolled in an educational institution are not eligible for this grant.
