About the Scholarship:
The 14,000 students at the centrally placed University of Stirling are from over 120 different countries. Located on the shores of a loch, the campus of the University of Stirling was built in an 18th century castle estate and opened in 1967. Beyond its geographic position, the University of Stirling has some distinctive characteristics. First of all, it is a two-semester program with a modular degree structure that allows students to start and stop their studies at any time they like. Students can easily change their majors if their interests change because degrees are built up of credits gained through modules. Ninety-five percent of all students who graduated from Stirling University were either employed or enrolled in post-secondary education within 15 months after graduation (Graduate Outcomes Survey 2020, HESA) (International Student Barometer 2016). Additionally, students are encouraged to participate in work-study programs and internships. Mastering Your Masters and an effort to connect institutions with companies are just two of the programs. You may learn more about the scholarships available to international and EU students by visiting this page, and Student Money Advisers can provide assistance with budgeting and submitting applications for financial aid. Pre-masters courses are also available at the University of Stirling International Study Centre, which offers an undergraduate certificate, which replaces the first year of a four-year honors degree, and a pre-masters course. It is guaranteed that students will get a conditional offer of a degree place at the University from the International Study Center. In addition, the University of Stirling’s Student Union runs an International Society, which provides English language assistance to international students for a period of 12 weeks before and during the start of the semester. On-campus life is excellent — it’s ranked first in Scotland and second overall in the United Kingdom. First in Scotland and fourth in the United Kingdom for sports facilities Second place in Scotland, top 25 in the UK for good extracurricular activities/societies In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, Stirling University was placed 6th in Scotland and 45th in the United Kingdom for the quality of its academic research.. Nearly three-quarters of all research activities was ranked either world-leading or internationally outstanding. All international students will be housed on campus, with the majority of their rooms looking out over the loch.. All teaching facilities, library facilities, stores, theater, cinema, and social places are within a few blocks of the student housing. Students who prefer to live in privately rented housing can get assistance from the Residential Services Office. The campus of the University of Stirling is situated next to an 18th-century castle on the shores of a lake. There is a vibrant commercial district and sports village in Stirling, only a ten-minute bus ride from campus. The airports in Glasgow and Edinburgh are only a short drive from Stirling, which has long been known as the ‘Gateway to the Highlands.’
The National Swimming Academy and the Gannochy National Tennis Centre are both located on campus, making it one of the best places in the country for sports. All three Commonwealth Games Councils for Scotland and Scottish Swimming also call the campus home. The university’s campus was also named the finest in the United Kingdom by the International Student Barometer in 2016, which was conducted in 2016. Notably, the campus is being built on the historic site of Airthrey Estate and will be equipped with cutting-edge technology. It offers a variety of amenities for students’ convenience. These include an auditorium for movies and theater productions, as well as a bank, drug store, supermarket, and library (which contains more than 550,000 volumes and 9,000 periodicals). There are a variety of eateries, cafeterias, and bars on the campus where one can eat. In addition, there are 2, 000 rooms and townhouses available for rent on the college grounds. Squash, tennis, golf, hockey, football, and rugby are among the sports that the institution offers, and it also has a sports center, swimming pool, courts, tracks, and pitches to accommodate them. Around 20% of the total number of students at the university are from other countries, representing more than 120 different nationalities. Through its connection with more than 70 international universities, it also provides its students with the opportunity to learn about global educational approaches.
