Scholarship details
The Foundation for International Taxation is currently accommodating applications for the Uma Sathnur – FIT Scholarship Scheme. The scholarship is open to Indian students who will be pursuing a one-year master degree at the Institute for Austrian & International Tax Law located in Vienna, Austria. The winning students will take a benefit of 16,500$ US Dollar for tuition fee.
The Foundation for International Taxation or FIT was first launched its “FIT Scholarship Scheme “in 2011. Under this scheme the Foundation will pick an Indian national every year as a “FIT Scholar” through a competitive public search and the scholarship will pay the annual tuition fees of the Institute for one year as a scholarship to the selected applicant.
The scholarship can be taken at Institute for Austrian & International Tax Law in Vienna, Austria. Awarded in the field of Law.
Only Indian Citizens are eligible to apply and this will be based on merits and the student’s ability to handle a successful high standard and intensive pressure of the Master’s programme. The scholarship might also refund or reimburse the travel airfare or living expenses of the winning students.
The students must meet the minimum professional requirement of the institute or University in India or abroad, at least three years’ experience in international taxation in industry, public or professional service. For instance, if the student doesn’t have a professional qualification at least five years experience is required.
Under the arrangement with the Vienna Institute, the Foundation is required to arrange for the name and details of the selected candidates by the end of February to them. FIT has formed a special committee to invite applications and make the selection.
The deadline for application is every 30th of November.
