The Emerging Mystery Writer Scholarship means to help gifted youthful riddle authors by granting $250 US Dollar to a writer on the premise of an unpublished short story. They welcome applications from students intending to go to or at present going to a post-secondary education.
The successful winner will have their story distributed or being published in Mystery Weekly Magazine, and a money grant payable to their school registrar for the 2018/19 academic year.
This 250$ scholarship is open for Canadian and US Citizen only, there is no fee to pay for joining this contest. One entry per person only. The application will begin on January 1, 2018, and ends May 30, 2018.
The entry should be original, unique and free from plagiarism, containing a word between 1000-6000 written in the English language.
A board of judges will vote in favor of the triumphant story.
Mystery Weekly Magazine maintains whatever authority is needed to distribute the triumphant story and the creator’s name in their magazine and to pitch it through all media channels.
Confirmation of enrollment must be provided before the honor is paid out.
The Emerging Mystery Writer Scholarship is a one-time grant. Past winners of this award are not qualified to apply once more.
