Flinders University 2022 Calthorpe Wong Indigenous Medical Scholarship

Both Drs. Mary Calthorpe and George Wong are now retired ophthalmologists, and they have set up an endowed fund to grant scholarships to students of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background who are studying in medicine.

To better meet the needs of Native American communities, the Calthorpe Wong Indigenous Medical Scholarship was established to attract more Native American students to the field of medicine. If funds remain, a new scholarship can be offered annually.
