This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students with exceptional academic records who are beginning studies toward the Bachelor of Engineering (Maritime) (Honours) degree. A contribution was made by EJC Carr & Associates, which will be used to fund the scholarship.

Scholarship Offer:
- Each year, there will be one scholarship available, provided that there is sufficient cash. Each award will be worth a total of $2,000 to the recipient.
Eligibility for Scholarship.
- Applicants are required to:
- Be beginning the first year of the Bachelor of Engineering (Maritime) (Honours) program at Flinders University; Typically be enrolled full-time in the program; and
- Be a citizen of Australia, a permanent resident of Australia, or a holder of a permanent visa for humanitarian purposes; and
- Have a minimum ATAR score of 80 (after adding any bonus points), or another number that is equivalent to the score used to obtain entry into the course.
- Students enrolled in classes on a part-time basis who are unable to study full-time due to exceptional personal or family obligations are eligible to submit an application (e.g. disabilities, carer responsibilities). Pay will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for recipients working part-time for a maximum of two years.
- The recipient of the scholarship will be chosen based on their overall academic performance. The choice will be made in accordance with the processes that have been sanctioned by the Director of Student Administration.
- Tenure
- The duration of the scholarship will be for one calendar year.
- Leave
- A maximum of one semester’s worth of time off from the scholarship can be taken in conjunction with time off from the student’s studies.

If you are a first-year student at the University of London and you are paying the home fee, you should apply for the Full-time Undergraduate Bursary for the 2022-2023 school year. The purpose of the scholarship is to help incoming freshmen who have shown strong ambition for higher education and a desire to make a positive impact in their communities on their way to achieving their own personal and professional objectives.
