Description:

The University of Edinburgh Offers Ph.D. Scholarship in Linguistics and English Language from the Faculty of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences (PPLS). This opportunity is available to successful international students for the academic session of 2022/2023.

Students seeking to study a Doctorate degree course on Linguistic and English Language in the United Kingdom may apply for this student grant opportunity offered by the University of Edinburgh.

The program is an on-campus program. This implies that scholars will be required to travel out of their home country to come to study their choice, of course, in-person at the school’s campus.

Applicants of the University of Edinburgh Linguistics Ph.D. scholarship must have a UK 2: 1 honors degree, or its international equivalent, in a related subject. Ideally, you will also have or will be studying, a postgraduate master’s degree (or equivalent).

To be considered for the opportunity, applicants must first be admitted to a doctoral program at the school. It is not necessary to apply for the scholarship separately. Your request will be considered automatically.

Students must submit all transcripts and degree certificates (and certified translations if applicable), a short research proposal (maximum 2 pages), a full CV and research interests (maximum 2 pages), and two references.

The University of Edinburgh is the oldest and most important university in Scotland; offers courses in the arts, humanities, and computer science.

It offers international students a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. In Edinburgh, students will have a variety of ways to study, from programs taught on campus to part-time online study.
