About the Scholarship Provider:
University of Nottingham history may be traced back to its earlier incarnation as Nottingham’s first Civic College. As time progressed, more and more services were relocated to the University Park campus. In 1928, King George V presided over the inaugural college convocation. He had completed his education there. The college’s transformation into what is now Nottingham University began when it received a Royal Charter in 1948. It was able to attract many famous people, such as Mahatma Gandhi, Albert Einstein, and HG Wells, even in its early stages, when it was still in its infancy and they were giving presentations and talks. Since then, it has had phenomenal growth and expansion, and its campuses can now be found in a wide range of countries, including China and Malaysia, among many others. There has always been a strong focus on nurturing innovative concepts at this organization. The current School of Nursing was formed in 1955 when the institution combined with the Mid-Trent College of Nursing and Midwifery. When it officially opened its doors in 1970, it was the first medical school in the UK to be established in the 20th century.
