The Stichting AUC Scholarship Fund (ASF) is a generous program that aims to support excellence and diversity in the Amsterdam University College (AUC) student body. The ASF offers full and partial scholarships to talented and underrepresented students from all over the world who wish to enroll in the AUC’s bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and sciences. The ASF scholarships cover tuition fees, living expenses, and other costs related to studying at the AUC.
About Amsterdam University College
Amsterdam University College (AUC) is a public liberal arts college in the Netherlands that offers a challenging and interdisciplinary curriculum in English. Eligible Applicants
The ASF scholarships are open to both Dutch and international students who meet the following criteria:
- They have applied for admission to the AUC and have been accepted or are awaiting acceptance.
- They have excellent academic results and demonstrate a strong motivation and potential for studying at the AUC.
- They belong to a minority group or come from a low-income background that would otherwise prevent them from studying at the AUC.
- They are willing to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the AUC community.

Scholarship Worth
The ASF scholarships offer two levels of full scholarship:
- EU students: 5100 EUR per year
- Non-EU students: 15300 EUR per year
The EU students include Dutch students and students who are eligible to pay the legal tuition fees of the AUC. Partial scholarships can also be awarded, usually covering 50% of the above amounts.
The ASF scholarships cover tuition fees, accommodation costs, health insurance, visa fees, travel expenses, books, and other study-related expenses.
Level and Field of Study
The ASF scholarships cover the undergraduate level of study at the AUC. The field of study is liberal arts and sciences, which encompasses humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. Students can choose from various majors and minors within these disciplines, such as international relations, human rights, philosophy, psychology, biology, mathematics, physics, and more.
How to Apply
To apply for the ASF scholarships, students need to follow these steps:
- Apply for admission to the AUC through the online application system. The admission requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, proof of English proficiency, a personal statement, a letter of recommendation, and other documents.
- Complete the ASF scholarship application form online. The application form requires information about personal details, academic background, financial situation, motivation, and contribution to diversity.
- Submit both applications before the deadline. The deadline for admission to the AUC is January 15th for September intake and November 1st for February intake. The deadline for ASF scholarship application is April 1st for September intake and December 1st for February intake.
