The Master of Drug Discovery and Development Scholarship is worth a total of New Zealand $15,000, which will be awarded to the winning applicant.
This reward can only be put toward the candidate’s tuition bill in order to fulfill its requirements.
Eligibility for Scholarship.
- This award is available to students from any country in the world; however, in order to qualify, applicants must first have enrolled in and successfully completed one trimester of study toward their postgraduate research in Drug Discovery and Development.
- All international students who meet the requirements can apply for the scholarship. Students who do not have permanent residency in New Zealand and who are not citizens of New Zealand are referred to as “international students.” Candidates are required to demonstrate that they meet the eligibility requirements outlined by both the programme and the university. In order to pursue educational opportunities in New Zealand, applicants are need to get the appropriate visa. The scholarship becomes payable once enrollment has been completed and can only be applied against the cost of tuition.
- The recipients of this scholarship will be required to participate in a research project that is to be conducted under the direction of a member of the Ferrier Research Institute staff and on a topic that has been approved by the Director of the Ferrier Research Institute or a delegated nominee of the Director. The academic performance of candidates, as well as their publications and/or conference proceedings, referee reports, and any other concrete indication of their academic or research competence, are among the grounds for selection.
- Applicants are required to be students from other countries.
- An undergraduate degree in Chemistry or a relevant life science field such as Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Pharmacy, Pharmacology, or another applicable subject is required of applicants, and they must have earned at least a B+ on average in their 300-level Chemistry coursework.
- All applicants must have the intention of enrolling in a taught Master’s program at Victoria University of Wellington, namely the Master of Drug Discovery and Development.
