The University of Orleans is characterized by its multidisciplinarity.

It has 3 UFRs, 1 university engineering school (Polytech), 4 University Institutes of Technology, 1 National Higher Institute of Professorship and Education (INSPÉ), 1 Observatory of Sciences of the Universe (OSUC) and 1 School University of Kinesitherapy (EUK).

More than 19,000 students, including more than 2,000 foreign students, attend one of the University’s sites.

Its international vocation is confirmed from year to year. Its capacity for innovation is reflected in the dynamism of its research and the transfer of technology to regional, national and international companies.

Its training offer, rich in professional fields, is developing in close connection with Research. The reception and support systems for the professional integration of students and adults contribute to making the University of Orléans a major player in territorial development.

The University of Orleans is widely open to international with 14% of students of foreign nationality, and nearly 90 countries represented.

Each year, nearly 500 Orléanais students go to study or carry out an internship in 150 universities and partner companies located in Europe and outside Europe.

Educational partnerships through double degrees, joint supervision of doctorates, participation in international research programs, and the hosting of foreign researchers are all assets that allow students to aim for professional integration internationally and the University of Orléans to be present and recognized far beyond our borders.

The Eiffel scholarship program is a tool developed by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs to enable French higher education establishments to attract the best foreign students to master’s and doctoral degree courses.

It makes it possible to train future foreign decision-makers, from the private and public sectors, in the priority fields of study, and to stimulate the candidacies of students originating from emerging countries aged 30 years maximum for the master level and from emerging and industrialized countries. 35 years old at most for the doctorate level.
