We are thrilled to share the news that students studying in Africa and India will have the opportunity to compete for one of seven scholarships for a total of £10,500 during the academic year 2023/2024.
These scholarships are made possible by the generosity of the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust, an organization whose mission is to provide educational options for students who, for a variety of reasons, might not be able to consider attending school in the United Kingdom.
About the Scholarship Provider:

The Gustafsson & Skrondal Visiting Scholarship is administered by the University of Oslo’s Centre for Educational Measurement (CEMO). As part of the visiting scholar program, CEMO and the University of Oslo host a number of young researchers from Norway and elsewhere each year.
Eligibility for Scholarship.
- You need to have an offer, either conditional or unconditional, for one of the courses listed above.
- You must be a citizen of either India or a country in Africa.
- Obtain a grade of 2:1 or higher, or its equivalent, in a field of study that is pertinent to the course for which you are applying. Include a compelling personal statement when you send in your application for the course.
- Be a self-funded student
- The winners of the prizes will be communicated with via email in June of 2023.

If a student enrolls in one of the degree programs offered by SOAS University of London, they may be eligible to receive a fee waiver award in the amount of £5,000. This award is available to students who are interested in receiving a degree from SOAS University of London.
