Scholarships offered under the FGSR Recruitment Programme ensure that the University of Alberta is able to recruit students of the highest calibre. This scholarship was established with the intention of attracting exceptional candidates to the University of Alberta’s PhD programme who have the ability to make a positive contribution to the university’s community as well as its research.

The University of Saskatchewan’s main campus may be found on 200 acres of land along the banks of the North Saskatchewan River, known as North Campus. There are more than 150 buildings on this site. It was built by Barton Myers in 1969. All university campuses provide students with residence halls that are outfitted with modern conveniences.
The Athletics Department and several intramural, sports club, and group exercise programmes are run by the University’s Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation. SeNSS is one of only 14 Doctoral Training Partnerships in the United Kingdom that is sponsored by the ESRC, and they will be offering a handful of fully-funded ESRC doctoral studentships beginning in September 2023. - Scholarships will be provided in amounts ranging from $5,000 all the way up to $10,000.
The Gustafsson & Skrondal Visiting Scholarship is administered by the University of Oslo’s Centre for Educational Measurement (CEMO). As part of the visiting scholar program, CEMO and the University of Oslo host a number of young researchers from Norway and elsewhere each year.
Eligibility for Scholarship.
- Students who meet the following criteria will be considered for the scholarship:
- Are you a citizen of Canada, a permanent resident of Canada, or a student with a valid study permit?
- Are either admitted by the department to a master’s or doctoral degree programme that requires a thesis or are moved from a master’s degree programme to a doctorate degree programme.
- Will be enrolled full-time in either a master’s or doctorate degree programme that requires a thesis for completion.
- A minimum grade point average of 3.5 is required for admission.
- Each department may have its own set of entrance requirements; prospective students may inquire with the department to which they would like to be admitted for further information.
- Departments have the option of nominating persons based on a wide range of criteria, such as the applicant’s research, academic record, letters of evaluation, statement of programme, potential contributions to research, and other technical experience.

If a student enrolls in one of the degree programs offered by SOAS University of London, they may be eligible to receive a fee waiver award in the amount of £5,000. This award is available to students who are interested in receiving a degree from SOAS University of London.
Application Procedure
- There is not a separate application form; rather, qualified applicants are considered based on the recommendation of the department that admits students. Students are not eligible to submit an application for this scholarship.
- Before the nomination deadline, the department fills out the nomination form, attaches the appropriate document(s) stated on the form, and sends it to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR) through email at [email protected]. The Graduate Scholarship Committee is responsible for making a decision after the FGSR has ensured that the nominations meet all of the requirements and that they are complete.
