The Playford Trust, in conjunction with Clean Seas, will offer a scholarship to a student entering their third year of undergraduate study who is committed to pursuing a fourth year of study in aquaculture at one of South Australia’s three public universities. The duration of this scholarship is two years.
As part of the scholarship, the student must complete an eight- to ten-week paid work experience between their third and fourth years. The Clean Seas fish breeding and production facilities in Arno Bay, as well as the Clean Seas fish health and R&D teams in Port Lincoln, are likely locations for the internship. The Clean Seas organization will provide housing options. Clean Seas will provide the student a chance to work with them on an acceptable project during their fourth year, and may offer them another work placement opportunity once their fourth year is up. As the undisputed global leader in the whole Yellowtail Kingfish production and sales cycle, Clean Seas is well lauded for its exceptional fish quality. As a result of the company’s early efforts in aquaculture production of yellowtail kingfish, it now ranks as the world’s largest producer of this fish. Customers appreciate the consistent excellent quality of the company’s fish and the reliability with which the company supplies fresh fish to markets throughout the world for 52 weeks of the year.
