PFLAG Sacramento is pleased to offer scholarships of $1,000 or more to qualified students from the Sacramento area. The scholarship is named in honor of The Rev. and Mrs. Merrill Follansbee, and Jean Hansen, our chapter’s co-founders and proud parents of LGBTQ+ individuals.
PFLAG provides an opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation, gender identity/gender expression, and acts to create a society healthy and respectful of human diversity.
Advocacy is a big part of the mission of PFLAG National, with members and supporters working to achieve LGBTQ equality through changing hearts, minds, and laws. PFLAG works at the community level, at the city and state level, and at the federal level to effect change so that people who are LGBTQ are safe and equal in their communities.
