Dr. Maxine Feinberg, President of the American Dental Association, said in a 2015 statement that “Despite all the advances in our ability to prevent, detect and treat dental diseases, too many Americans – for a variety of reasons – are not enjoying the best possible oral health.” Through our programs of education and professional referral services, we promise to do everything in our power to change that assessment.
This scholarship award is about bringing light to a field study where more dentists are needed. Oral health is in dire need of more professionals and this is one way to bring exciting news to students who may not have been interested in dentistry beforehand.
- Students of All Majors, High School and College.
- Any United States Citizen or Foreign Citizen residing legally in the USA.
Absolutely, no employees of Emergency Dentists USA or family members of employees may apply or win the scholarship.
The video each applicant will need to create will be to bring exciting and interesting entertainment to the world of dentistry! Whoever creates the best video will receive the $1,000 reward.
How to Apply
The video must be from 60 seconds to 120 seconds long.
Applicants are shown how to make this as easy as possible for submissions, so they can submit their video to any video sharing site like Youtube or Vimeo and send a link to the listed address, along with the applicant’s name, the school they attend, and their contact information.
All videos will be rated on a scale of 1-10 for:
- Entertainment – Value 30% weighted
- Innovative Idea / Presentation – Value 30% weighted
- Idea Has Value to Dental Health – Value 30% weighted
- Video Production Quality – Value 10% weighted
The Scholarship money shall be sent to the student’s college of choice Financial Aid Office.
The deadline for this scholarship is July 1, 2022.
