Alumni of the University of Exeter who wish to begin a taught Masters degree (such as an MA, MSc, MRes, MFA, or LLM) or a research Masters degree (such as an MPhil or PhD) with us are eligible to receive a stipend to help defray the cost of their tuition fees.

Students who will be entering in a postgraduate taught or research program of study in the 2023–2024 academic year are eligible to apply for these scholarships, which will cover 10% of the first year’s tuition fee. It is important to note that the PGCE program is ineligible for consideration for this prize.

The Gustafsson & Skrondal Visiting Scholarship is administered by the University of Oslo’s Centre for Educational Measurement (CEMO). As part of the visiting scholar program, CEMO and the University of Oslo host a number of young researchers from Norway and elsewhere each year.

 

Eligibility for Scholarship.

  • Awards are available to any local and overseas University of Exeter alumni who have:
  • completed an inbound Study Abroad semester or year at the University of Exeter; graduated from an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program that was granted by the University of Exeter; graduated from a credit-bearing University of Exeter International Summer School.
  • To be considered for the scholarship, you must first ensure that you are able to satisfy the prerequisites for the postgraduate program of your choice and then enroll in that program during the 2023–2024 academic year.
  • (Current University of Exeter students finishing their programme in 2023 and continuing direct to another independent University of Exeter degree programme are eligible for a comparable grant – see University of Exeter Class of 2023 Progression Scholarship.)

If a student enrolls in one of the degree programs offered by SOAS University of London, they may be eligible to receive a fee waiver award in the amount of £5,000. This award is available to students who are interested in receiving a degree from SOAS University of London.

  • All qualified postgraduate applicants who submit their enrollment information for the 2023–2024 academic year will immediately be considered for the award. It is not necessary to submit a separate application.
  • When submitting your postgraduate programme application via our application system, please ensure to complete the applicable area to identify your previous Exeter studies.
  • The recipient of this prize will not be eligible to receive it again for subsequent years of study. It is imperative that you carefully understand all of the terms and conditions associated with this scholarship.
