Scholarships in Brunei
- The Government of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship – this scholarship helps students to earn a bachelor’s, master’s, or even a doctorate degree. This scholarship is open to all international students. Specifically, this is for international students to study in Brunei, so this means that Brunei Darussalam Permanent Residents are not accepted. Individuals that do apply cannot be past the age of 35 years old.
- Universiti Brunei Darussalam Scholarship – is in connection and part of the government scholarship mentioned above. Students will need to contact the ministry of Brunei when they decide to attend the university of Brunei.
- Laksamana College of Business Scholarships – students can expect that this private institution gives out a 25% or 50% off of tuition however, this does not cover fees or admissions fees (this pays for sending in the admissions application, this is not related to tuition)
- Brunei Institute of Technology Coding Scholarships – students here will be able to understand and advance their knowledge on all coding languages that are current and trending. Students can expect to receive a fully-funded scholarship if they are chosen as the recipient.
- University Islam Sultan Sharif Ali Scholarships – while this university offers a few scholarships, the best candidate would be an individual who is fluent in Islamic studies and culture. Students will be able to earn a doctorate in Islamic studies if they provide to earn a higher education at this univeristy.
Study in Taiwan
Studying in Taiwan can help international students to experience an incredulous higher education that exceeds the traditional studies they may come across normally. Cost of Student Living
There are a few buget ideas that students should keep in mind. A budget for eating at the college campus cafeteria, along with if the student pays for accommodation while living in a campus or outside of a campus area.
Without including tuition cost, a month-to-month rough idea would be anywhere from 670 – 900 EUR per month. This includes rent, utilities, groceries, and daily necessities and needs that a student may need every month. The amount listed is to show what students would need to live quite comfortably.

With postgraduate studies being on the higher end of the tuition scale, it comes as no shock that research universities that focus on economics, politics, and science would be more costly. Now when a student is going for an undergraduate degree or even a liberal arts degree, a student can expect to pay around $880 USD for a single academic year. Which is incredibly impressive when it comes to tuition savings. Luckily, all international students will be able to see academic program prices before signing up for that course.
What Languages are Spoken in Taiwan
What is the official language in Taiwan? Mandarin Chinese is the main and most widely used language throughout the Taiwan region. Other languages spoken throughout the country include Taiwanese Mandarin, Taiwanese Hokkien (Kinmen dialect), Taiwanese Hakka, Formosan languages, Matsu dialect, Wuqiu dialect, Malayo-Polynesian, Dutch, Spanish, and English.
We do highly advise that any students interested in studying in Taiwan, that they should definitely learn Mandarin and especially both Taiwanese and Chinese Mandarin. Learning a native country’s language definitely helps new international students with navigating their new temporary home and study region.
