$2,000 Scholarship for Lutheran Congregation members

If there is one thing that adults often encourage the youth to take up, it would be college. Authorities and counselors in high school often gear students up in the path of taking challenge. However, there is an issue that adults probably haven’t experienced but the youth is really facing right now: student debts. Students of today are facing this issue and it’s what mainly makes people turn away from getting a college education or going into a degree program. The exorbitant fees of tuition needed just to finish your bachelor degree make students get a student loan, which will eventually turn into student debt once left to grow interest or unpaid.

One might say that students should then just avoid getting a student loan. Unfortunately, getting a student loan is one of the few main ways on how students can pay for their tuition fees and expenses in their degree program.  There are also other ways on how a student can pay their loans or lessen their student debt early on like working and getting a scholarship.

In relation to this, there are now organizations like the Beta Sigma Psi National Lutheran Fraternity which offer scholarship opportunities for students. The Beta Sigma Psi National Lutheran Fraternity offers the Martin Luther Scholarship for any male members who are part of the Lutheran Congregation. The fraternity has had a long history of being involved with the Lutheran community ever since its establishment as a national fraternity since 1925 and its first development as the Concordia Club in 1921. Most consisting of Lutheran men in college and alumni from different congregations all across the United States, the fraternity is now offering a chance for other Lutheran men to be able to finish their bachelor degree. This opportunity was created as a way to give back to the Lutheran Church and support the students and youth under it.

The recipients of this scholarship will receive $2,000 that can be used for their tuition and other fees as long as they are in any accredited 4-year degree program in College in US.  The award will be transfer directly to the recipient’s college. In order to be eligible, the applicant should be a male member of a Lutheran congregation and would be only starting university in 2019. Applicants are not required to join the fraternity to be or be connected or related to a member to be qualified.
