Lancaster Ph.D. 2022 scholarships for students from developing countries

Lancaster Environment Center (UK) is currently offering two Ph.D. scholarships to students from developing countries in the field of the environment.

This Ph.D. Scholarships for Equatorial Guinean Students and African Students will cover all fees for a three-year Ph.D., a stipend to cover living costs and research support, and training scholarships to cover research costs.

KU Leuven Ph.D. Scholarships for students from developing countries

This scholarship offers a year of 4 Ph.D. Project for candidates from developing countries who wish to pursue a Ph.D. at KU Leuven.

Application deadline: The application deadline is March of each year.

Scholarship Value : An endorsement contains a doctoral scholarship at KU Leuven for 4 years, a pre-doctoral period of max. 12 months (if the doctoral committee so advises) and a single reimbursement of travel expenses from the doctoral student’s country of origin to Belgium at the start of the doctorate (max. €1,000 and based on proof of expenses

Master’s degree from the United Nations University and Ph.D. Scholarships in Sustainability Sciences for Developing Countries

The UNU Institute for Advanced Sustainability Study (UNU-IAS) of the Japan Foundation currently offers a three-year Ph.D. scholarship program for outstanding applicants from Equatorial Guinea and other developing countries who demonstrate a need for financial assistance.

The Mo Ibrahim Foundation University of London Ph.D. Scholarships for African Students 

The Center for African Studies, School of African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London is currently offering 2 PhDs to African citizens as part of the Governance for Development in Africa Initiative funded by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation.

Application deadline: The application deadline is March of each year.

Scholarship Worth: The scholarship is presented in the form of a present part and provides fees for three years. However, accommodation and cost of living are covered for the first year only.

The scholarship will also cover a total of 2 return flights: one during the first year and one for the viva (plus one week of accommodation around the viva). In years 2 and 3, the successful candidate will also receive an annual stipend of £5,000.

Undergraduate from the Yoneyama Rotary Foundation, Master’s and Ph.D. Scholarships for international students 202 2

The Yoneyama Memorial Rotary Foundation currently offers scholarships for foreign students to pursue a Ph.D. study at a Japanese university or graduate school. These Ph.D. scholarships are for Equatorial Guinean and African students from other countries.

Application Deadline: The application deadline is the month of December each year.

Scholarship Worth:

  • Undergraduate students: 100,000 yen per month
  • Master students: 140,000 yen per month.
  • Doctoral students: 140,000 yen per month.

The John Innes Center is currently offering Janaki Ammal Scholarships to overseas research graduate students, who are citizens of eligible developing countries, to help them study for a Ph.D. graduated from the institute.

Eastern Mediterranean University is currently offering scholarships for Turkish and international students pursuing Ph.D. studies. Program. These doctoral scholarships are for students from Equatorial Guinea and other international students.

This scholarship is for applicants from Sub-Saharan African countries with an excellent academic record, to be taken at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa, and while the internship will be at the Ruhr University Bochum, Germany. In addition, they also offer Ph.D. scholarships for students from Equatorial Guinea.

Italian Government Bachelors, Masters, and Ph.D. Scholarships for Foreign Students 

Applications are currently open for the Italian Government Scholarship to foreign students to study for Undergraduate, Masters, and Ph.D. degrees in Italian higher education institutions.

Application deadline: The application deadline is the month of April of each year.

Scholarship Value: Normally, scholarship holders are exempt from paying university tuition, in accordance with current regulations. However, the Universities, as part of their autonomy, may not allow such an exemption. Therefore, candidates are advised to contact their chosen institution to be informed about possible taxes or tuition fees.

Government of Colombia Master and Ph.D. Scholarships for International Students 

The Government of Colombia is currently offering doctoral scholarships for students from Equatorial Guinea and financial grants to foreign citizens, for international cooperation received by Colombia under existing cooperation agreements.

Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL) Ph.D. Scholarships for Developing Countries (Fully Funded for Belgium) 

The University of Leuven (UCL) awards doctoral scholarships to candidates from developing countries. Students from underdeveloped countries who, by virtue of their professional status in the European Union, have the status of Belgium are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

The Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA) currently offers doctoral fellowships for students from Equatorial Guinea and a collaborative doctoral training program in population and public health.

Foreign Fulbright Scholarships in the USA for 4,000 students (masters and doctorates)

Fulbright Foreign Student Scholarship Program for Teachers, Ph.D. and postgraduate undergraduate studies to study at universities in the United States. This scholarship is currently open to approximately 4,000 international students from more than 155 international countries.

780 Korean Government Scholarships for Developing Countries

The Korean government invites 780 international students from 156 countries to doctoral and research programs in Korea for scholarships. 

The purpose of this scholarship is to give international students the opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies and undergraduate programs at higher education institutions in the Republic of Korea.

KAAD collaborates with partner countries in selected regions to provide scholarship opportunities for candidates interested in postgraduate research.

Scholarship Value: Applicants who receive scholarships for Germany under S1 receive help from KAAD with their visa modalities, get paid for flights to Germany and vice versa, are provided with language training in Germany before their studies, etc.
