Australia Awards Scholarships are long-term awards administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Its objective is to contribute to the development needs of Australia’s partner countries in accordance with bilateral and regional agreements.

Host/Eligible Countries: The scholarship is taken in Australia and is available to international students for their Bachelor, Masters, and Ph.D. programs at any Australian institution.

Scholarship Benefits: Worth full tuition, return airfare, establishment allowance, insurance, and other supplemental fees.

Scholarship Benefits: Worth $32,000 Australian dollars per year awarded to any student from around the world. and has a duration of three years with a possible extension of 6 months

Australian Government Pharmacy Scholarship Scheme:

Host/Eligible Countries: The scholarship opportunity is provided by the Australian Government Department of Health for students who have lived in a defined rural area for a minimum of five consecutive years or eight cumulative years since the age of five. The scholarship is for students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies in Australia.

Scholarship Benefits: At least 30 scholarships are offered a year, worth $10,000 per year per student, meaning a student can be awarded $40,000 over a four-year period.

Health Workforce Scholarship Program:

Host/Eligible Countries:  The Health Workforce Scholarship Program (HWSP) offers financial support to professionals in the fields of medicine, allied health, aboriginal health, and nursing, which are not easily accessible areas. This program is sponsored by the Australian Government Department of Health and is not eligible for government-employed health professionals.

Scholarship Benefits:

The HWSP offers two types of funding:

  • Scholarship – reimbursement of up to $10,000 per year (maximum of two years) for the cost of completing a graduate course leading to a graduate qualification, or
  • Scholarship – A reimbursement of up to $10,000 per year for the cost of completing a short course or training.

Adelaide Global Leadership Scholarship:

Host/Eligible Countries: This scholarship is highly controversial and is awarded to Cameroonian students who are excellent in their academic studies.

Scholarship Benefits: The scholarship is worth 30% of the cost of tuition, regardless of the course chosen at the university. In addition, this scholarship covers part of the cost of living for the student, while the studies continue.

International Water Center Scholarship:

Host/Eligible Countries: This scholarship scheme offers scholarships to both male and female students with a specified number of places reserved for female students. The scholarship is of two types, type A and B, for different categories of students.

Scholarship benefits: Type A is worth A$92 and will cover return travel, student visa, medical cover, tuition fees, and living costs, while Type B is worth A$645 A$52 and covers full tuition.

Endeavor Awards Scholarships:

Host/Eligible Countries:  The Endeavor Awards Scholarship provides financial support to Cameroonian students participating in a Master’s program of up to two years and a Ph.D. up to 4 years depending on courses and research.

Scholarship Benefits:   Students will receive a stipend of $3,000 per month and a maximum amount of $A36,000 per year, health insurance, and a travel allowance of up to $A3,000.

Newcastle University and the Commonwealth Government:

Host/Eligible Countries:  The scholarship is taken in Australia and is available to international students. The doctoral scholarships are for three and a half years and the master’s scholarships have a duration of two years. All eligibility criteria must be met prior to application.

Scholarship Benefits:  This scholarship covers a living allowance of up to $27,082 per year, a free laptop for study during the scholarship term, full tuition, and health coverage for Cameroonian students.

HDR Bond University Scholarship:

Host/Eligible Countries: The Bond University Scholarship offers a high-level HDR experience to assist Cameroonian students in their research and research training. It covers funds to cover financial costs and also to alleviate living stipends.

The scholarships are held twice a year, from February to March and then from August to September, each with a duration of two months.

Scholarship Benefits: The stipend rate is $27,596 per year
