Who is eligible for Honhaar scholarship?
Answer:
The Honhaar Scholarship Program, initiated by the Government of Punjab, aims to support deserving and high-achieving students in pursuing undergraduate education. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Domicile: Must possess a domicile from any district within Punjab.
- Age: Should not be older than 22 years as of the application closing date.
- Family Income: Monthly family income should be less than PKR 300,000, substantiated by an affidavit.
- Enrollment: Must be enrolled in selected disciplines at designated universities or colleges for the Fall 2024 session. Newly enrolled MBBS and BDS students in 2024 are also eligible.
- Academic Performance:
- Medical and Dental Colleges: Minimum of 80% marks in FSc/Intermediate.
- Federal and Private Universities: At least 70% for Sciences and 65% for Arts and Social Sciences.
- Public Sector Universities: At least 70% for Sciences and 65% for Arts and Social Sciences.
- Higher Education Department (HED) Colleges: At least 65% for Sciences and 60% for Arts and Social Sciences.
