Anglia Ruskin University is a public university and is located in East Anglia, UK. Its worldwide student population says 39,400 and it as campuses in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Peterborough and London.

In addition, it shares campuses with the College of West Anglia in King’s Lynn, Wisbech and Cambridge.

This tertiary institution originated from the Cambridge School of Art, founded by William John Beamont in 1858.

Cambridgeshire College of Arts and Technology and the Essex Institute of Higher Education subsequently merged and the school became Anglia Polytechnic and later, after it became a university in 1992, it was renamed Anglia Ruskin University. (by John Ruskin) in 2005.

This university had many names before a name change was finally put on reconsideration and Anglia Ruskin University was chosen (thereby incorporating in the title the surname of the man who gave the Cambridge School of Art’s inaugural address), John Ruskin for your name.

The new name came into effect after the approval of the Privy Council on September 29, 2005.

Anglian Ruskin University was named as one of the top 350 institutions in the world and, along with 39th, was top in the UK in the list published by the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.

According to the higher education strategy consultancy Firetail, Anglia Ruskin University is recognized as one of the 20 “rising stars” in global higher education. This university is the only UK university listed in the top 20.

Anglia Ruskin University  Cost

According to the 2022 Undergraduate Annual Tuition Fees, the minimum fee is £7,500 while the maximum fee is £9,250.

This college has a minimum fee charged before fee waivers are taken into account and the maximum fee allowed under the institution’s access agreement for one or more courses.

This is the web interface for ASTRA and is used by both staff and students. It is an online portal and provides access to student record information.

Through Evision, students can access all information associated with their study, including personal student details (username details), personal calendar, registration status, current modules, results/resits and cover sheets of assignments

For staff using e:Vision, they will have access to staff reports, reporting tools, student and module information (depending on permission levels).

This service can be used by all registered students and some staff (depending on current employment role) of Anglia Ruskin University using this software.

In order for students to have access to this system, they will need to be registered as members of Anglia Ruskin University and details of the registration procedure will be sent to students in their Welcome/Entry Instructions email prior to arrival.

Anglia Ruskin University  Cambridge

Since 1858, when the Cambridge School of Art first opened its doors, the Cambridge campus has been here. Going through the process of growth, the art school became Anglia Ruskin University and is still at the heart of the Institution’s modern East Road campus. A series of new facilities surround the red-brick Victorian building, with its vaulted ceilings and light-filled studios.

Chelmsford Central Campus closed at the end of the 2022 academic year and moved all of its facilities to the new buildings on the Rivermead Campus (now known as the Chelmsford Campus) on Bishop Hall Lane.

The East and Frederick Chancellor buildings which were saved together with the Grade 2 listed Anne Knight building are in a conservation area, this hints that these two buildings cannot be demolished without planning permission as they are important based on history because of its uses in the early days of higher education in Essex. Because the recession halted development that had been planned for many years, the site; However, the site’s current owners, Genesis Housing, have released new plans.
