Korea University Graduate School invites all international students to participate in the three prestigious scholarships to be offered for the graduate students for the academic year of 2022-2023. The international students can start their application if they have met all the eligibility requirements of the university.
The Graduate School Scholarships consist of three types and have their minimum requirements. As one of the world-class research-oriented schools, the scholarship will be based on the academic merits of the international students. These scholarships will be provided to support the students throughout their college journey to break the financial barriers and can further their education to better achieve their career plans in the future.

What are the Eligibility Academic Score and Language Score for each scholarship?
Each scholarship will be depending on the eligibility of the international students, therefore before starting your application, it is good to check the eligibility requirements of the three types of Global School Scholarship programs of the university.
Global Leaders Awards
The students who want to apply for this scholarship type A must check the eligibility below:
- 4.0 or higher GPA score of their previous school
- TOEFL iBT score of 90 or higher
- IELTS score of 7.0 or higher
- TEPS of 386
- TOPIK score must be on level 6 or higher
Humanities and Social Science Scholarship
The students who want to apply for this scholarship type A must check the eligibility below:
- GPA Score of 3.5 or higher from their previous university
- TOEFL iBT score of 82 or higher
- IELTS score of 6.0 or higher
- TEPS of 337
- TOPIK score must be on level 4 or higher
Engineering and Natural Science Scholarship
The students who want to apply for this scholarship type A must check the eligibility below:
- GPA Score of 3.5 or higher from their previous university
- TOEFL iBT score of 82 or higher
- IELTS score of 6.0 or higher
- TEPS of 337
- TOPIK score must be on level 4 or higher
Keep in mind that the home edition test for IELTS and TOEFL will not be accepted by the university, it is mandatory to submit the original copy of language test scores.
More Information on the eligibility
- All transfer students will not be accepted for the scholarship if they are already in a graduate degree.
- The students who want to change their courses to eligible courses of the scholarship must submit a medical or dental license to be in the medicine program.
- Students must have the recommended departments and permission that can get into the Dean’s Office of the university.
- The students in the business administration department are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Korean citizens or have permanent residence in Korea will not be eligible to apply for the scholarship program.
- The students must be holding a bachelor’s degree program upon enrollment at the university.

All international students must prepare the following supporting documents before applying to the scholarship program offered by the university.

Application Process
The students must be able to create their login on the online portal provided by the university to complete the application process. Keep in mind that all applications must be completed with all the required documents needed to be able to consider for the scholarship. All incomplete materials and applications will not be reviewed.

Scholarship Awards
The scholarship will be based on the types of scholarship you will be receiving.
- Scholarship Type A- the deserving students who will receive the awards will have living support for up to four months during their semester period and full tuition fee coverage and an entrance fee.
- Scholarship Type B- The deserving international students will be receiving a 60% reduction fee on their tuition fees.
- Scholarship Type C- 65% reduction on the deserving international student’s tuition fee.
The recipient of the scholarship type A will be receiving a supporting fee every month amounting to up to $400 and will be automatically transferred to their bank accounts which they have registered on the online portal access of the university.
The scholarship awards are only be given in the first semester upon enrollment, for the renewal of the awards these students must maintain the required GPA of each scholarship and must be enrolled in the second semester. There is only one award per scholarship type.
Scholarship Committee Decision
The Scholarship Committee of the Korea University Graduate School will be reviewing all the applications once the deadline is finished and all documents and applications have been submitted. The evaluation of the scholarship is conducted automatically, students don’t need to contact and update the committee for the decision, the university will contact the students individually for the results of the scholarship awardees.
The scholarship committee will be selecting up to 25 international students to further their education at the university.
Scholarship Deadline
The deadline for applciation is until March 18, 2022. If you have missed the applciation date for this academic year, students can also apply for the second semester. Scholarships are annually offered by the Korea University Graduate School.
